The simplified count is there are 55 different bodies in the Value Line (complete set shown below)
There were 3 series of Values lines. All 3 had the same 26 vehicles until the last series in which they have 3 new models making it 29. 81 vehicles total with 55 different bodies. (Thanks to Richard Cox for the help laying this all out on the Stomper Museum group)
Generation 1 Series 4 1983 had 13 models x's 2 colors = 26 vehicles.
Generation 1 Series 5 1984 had 13 models x's 2 colors = 26 vehicles.
Generation 1 Series 6 1985 had 13 models + 3 new models = 29 vehicles.
